The Vietnam Veterans Federation Mens Shed received a community award on June 11 from the State member for Gaven, Meghan Scanlon. The shed was represented at the award function by the President and Vice President of the Sub Branch, Andy Bryson and Kevin Roberts, and Andy accepted the award on behalf of the Men’s Shed and Sub Branch.
These community awards are given each year, and it is gratifying to see that there are so many community groups and associations involved in helping to improve the local area in many different ways. Meghan Scanlon has also been a helpful benefactor for the Vietnam Veterans Federation and Men’s Shed on past occasions, and indicated she would be visiting the shed again soon.
